IGHL recognizes that developmentally disabled people are faced with difficult challenges on a daily basis and is dedicated to helping the families we serve with programs and services designed to help.
The mission of IGHL is:
To provide programs, services and support for people with developmental disabilities so they can realize their full potential as human beings and contributing members of their community.
In concert with the State of New York, community leaders and the families of those we serve, continue to develop innovative and accommodating programs, services and supports to promote the personal growth of the people we serve.
To seek progressive legislation and sufficient funding in order to provide the highest quality of care, and in turn to protect the right of our constituents and their families to access appropriate care.
To focus on its position as a leader in the field develop strategies to have a positive influence on the future of services for people with developmental disabilities.
