Newsday is looking for an Production Assistant Intern for the Spring semester for Feed Me TV. As a “Feed Me” Production Assistant intern the student will be in a position to receive exposure with hands-on training throughout all aspects of television production. The ideal candidate will be required to assist with researching, pulling archive footage, writing and delivering field notes, distributing call sheets and outlines to staff, and working with other departments to deliver content. In addition, the intern will learn how to book, meet and greet guests, handle audio microphones, camera assisting, and ingesting footage. The degree to this exposure will largely depend upon the student’s aptitude, desire to learn and ability to work with the individuals performing these tasks.
•Preferred majors: Journalism, Broadcast Journalism, Communications, English.
•To be eligible for this internship, you must be able to receive college credit.
•This internship is unpaid. and generally may be requested to work flexible hours due to business needs.
•Interns must have a valid driver’s license and a car.
•Supervision and Evaluations will be given by Producer. the hours will be 11 am – 4 pm, 2 – 3 days, M – F.
