Job DescriptionThe Development Associate supports the Department by managing donor relations, event coordination, and administrative tasks. Working closely with the Director of Development, this role ensures smooth departmental operations, enabling a focus on strategic initiatives and relationship-building.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Nonprofit Management, or related field, or 3 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems; donor management software preferred.
- 1–2 years of nonprofit development or related experience.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Grant-seeking and project management experience preferred.
- Valid, clean NYS driver’s license.
ResponsibilitiesDonor Management & Stewardship
- Maintain donor records, process donations, and generate reports.
- Assist with donor communications, event planning, and research.
- Support donor appreciation initiatives and partnership cultivation.
Event & Communications Support
- Assist in planning and executing fundraising events.
- Oversee event logistics, invitations, and follow-ups.
- Support direct mail campaigns and marketing materials.
Administrative Support
- Manage schedules, meeting agendas, and department files.
- Assist with grant applications and reporting.
- Handle general office duties and occasional driving.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. (50 lbs. with assistance).
- Physical activities include sitting, standing, kneeling, bending, and squatting.
Salary: $42,000 – $45,000
