Position Overview:
Mason Technologies is actively seeking a DAS & Low Voltage Field Technician with extensive hands-on experience in the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of DAS (Distributed Antenna Systems) and related low-voltage infrastructure. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for deploying DAS equipment and supporting cabling systems across commercial job sites, while collaborating with fellow technicians, lead techs, and project managers to deliver high-quality, industry-compliant installations.
We are looking for detail-oriented professionals with a proven track record in wireless system deployment, who take pride in their work and can operate effectively in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and commission DAS wireless equipment, including external and internal antennas, coaxial cabling, CATV, fiber optic, and CAT5/6 cables
- Mount and configure DAS components on racks, walls, ceilings, and enclosures per NEC standards
- Perform fiber terminations and splicing, including ribbon fiber (preferred)
- Execute head-end wiring, patch panel terminations, and cable routing
- Pull, label, and secure low-voltage cabling for structured cabling systems, AV, security, and paging infrastructure
- Interpret and work from floor plans, riser diagrams, line diagrams, and rack elevations to ensure correct and complete installations
- Build and support IDF, MDF, and Data Center environments
- Maintain accurate daily reports detailing progress, materials used, and work performed
- Ensure every job site is left clean, organized, and compliant with Masons standards
- Interact professionally with clients and site personnel, representing Mason Technologies with integrity and reliability
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of field experience installing and supporting DAS systems as well as low-voltage systems (structured cabling, AV, security, paging)
- Strong understanding of DAS system components, signal paths, and installation best practices
- Ability to travel to job sites throughout NYC, Long Island, and New Jersey
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work (crouching, bending, lifting, overhead work) for extended periods
- Possession of OSHA 30 and SST 10 cards (physical copies required)
- Experience with ribbon fiber and advanced fiber splicing tools is a plus
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to producing top-tier work
Salary: $30.00-$40.00 hourly
