POSITION TITLE: Retail Associate
CLASSIFICATION: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Director of Product Sales & Retail
SALARY RANGE: $19 per hour

Position Summary
The Retail Associate works under the general direction of the Retail Coordinator and supports the day-to-day operations of the Girl Scout Shop. This includes assisting with inventory, promotions, sales, and other tasks, as well as supporting the Product Program Department when needed.
Essential Job Functions and Accountabilities
- Assists with the daily operations of the Girl Scout Shop
- Promote new merchandise, sales, and promotions, knowledge of all badge level information, as well as Girl Scout uniform level requirements
- Assists with shoppe inventory, as well as daily sales reports
- Ring sales, process returns and exchanges; reorganizes store layout based on seasons and promotions
- Assists with preparing merchandise for event stores
- Provides excellent customer service
- Assists with heat press service
- Assists with events and mobile shop experiences
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail customer service and sales, as well as experience with inventory
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong computer skills; proficient in Office 365, Canva, OneDrive, Microsoft, Excel, etc.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, such as some evenings, weekends
- Capable of handling sensitive information confidentially
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills; manages deadlines.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license and own transportation; ability to travel within Suffolk County

- Ability to meet department deadlines, timely and accurately
- Supports reception coverage as needed
- Provides support for summer camp in any capacity for any length of time
- Support other departments as needed
- All other duties as assigned
