Job Description
You will act as a lead professional to ensure quality products, providing technical and professional consultation on projects involving survey issues. Collaborate with a team of technical professionals across disciplines, exercise independent judgement while coordinating the work of supporting staff, learn how to engage with clients to grow long-lasting relationships. This full-time position will use and develop your leadership skills, and has great potential for advancement.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Interpret deeds and maps, design plans, architectural plans, and specifications, to effectively complete assignments including various types of surveys.
- Provide technical and professional consultation on Firm projects involving survey issues.
- Develop Scopes of Work in accordance with the clientsâ?? requirements.
- Exercise leadership and motivation within the project team to ensure good performance by all members.
- Direct and instruct other field staff engaged in making field surveys, using survey notes, maps, deeds, etc.
- Negotiate contracts, prepare proposals, and manage financial and technical aspects of projects.
- Work with the Survey Division Manager and Director of Marketing to further business development.
Pay Range:Â Â $38.00 - $47.00 per hour, paid weekly, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Requirements:
- Fifteen plus (15+) years of experience in surveying. Project and staff management experience preferred.
- Ability to apply for the New York State Professional Land Surveyor exam in the near future.Â
- Proficient in AutoCAD, computations, and Drafting
- Complete knowledge of the purpose and procedures for field and office work regarding surveys.Â
- Working knowledge of all survey equipment (GPS, total stations, etc.).
- Valid driverâ??s license.Â
- May be required to undergo drug testing as required for specific projects or fingerprinting as required for security clearance purposes.
