Job DescriptionJob Title: Utility Construction Project Manager

Role Overview
As a Utility Construction Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of utility and electrical construction projects across various locations. This includes ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while fostering a safe and productive work environment. Multiple positions are available to support projects in different regions. You will manage resources such as labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors while serving as the primary point of contact for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and estimates using advanced project management and estimating tools.
  • Client Management: Serve as the primary liaison with clients to ensure open communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Resource Coordination: Effectively manage labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to optimize project efficiency and outcomes.
  • Administrative Oversight: Handle RFIs, submittals, contracts, change orders, and other administrative tasks to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Lead internal project meetings and external client meetings, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned with project objectives.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure work adheres to project specifications and industry standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and maintain a secure and productive work environment for all team members.
  • Performance Analysis: Review project outcomes, implement lessons learned, and continuously seek opportunities for improvement.
  • Budget Management: Accurately forecast and monitor project costs, expenses, and resource utilization to ensure financial goals are met.

Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in project management, cost estimation, and budget control.
  • Strong understanding of utility and electrical construction techniques, including civil, architectural, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, and Accubid).
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to foster collaboration.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory compliance in the construction industry.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
