Currently seeking a skilled carpenter to join the team who is knowledgeable on construction materials, assemblies, and practices. You will be expected to run jobs from start to finish with coordination from the business owner. Planning, organizing, and executing work in a professional manner and keeping the jobsites clean and presentable at the closeout of each day. Must be able to manage laborers and conduct subcontractor supervision and coordination. Create material lists/purchase orders and handle material and equipment deliveries.

The companies primary focuses are on bathroom and kitchen renovations, windows and doors, decks, siding, and small building additions. structural repairs, framing, flooring, and tiling are standard day-to-day duties. You must know how to read and interpret blueprints and have a good working knowledge of standard industry tools and equipment. Jobsite safety is important and it will be expected that safe practices are utilized regularly; you will be expected to supervise the workers under you to ensure they are utilizing the same safe work practices.

Carpenter Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches and to understand project specifications
• Take measurements and calculate the sizes and amounts of materials needed for the project
• Use tools and equipment in a safe manner to conduct daily obligations
• Install window, doors, staircases, frame buildings, and other structures
• Install floors, tile, insulation, drywall, cabinets, trim, paint, and crown moldings
• Inspect products and conduct repairs or maintenance as needed
• Comply with all company and government safety guidelines

Carpenter Requirements and Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional carpentry experience
• Strong working knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Good physical condition, stamina, and dexterity. Heavy lifting and working outside during the summer and winter months is guaranteed
