Application Architect

Application Architect, IBM Corporation, Armonk, NY and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (Up to 60% telecommuting permitted): Assist application teams by providing the high available CI/CD platform to speed up software development, automated builds, continuous integration, continuous code inspection and continuous deployments. Work with TDS (Technology Delivery Service) & ERM (Enterprise Release Management) teams to understand and finalize the requirements to both technical and testing teams. Ensure a walkthrough of the requirements to both technical and testing teams. Identify security issues on the tools during upgrade and patching activities. Collaborate with subject matter experts, architects, and cross functional teams to determine the best design solution and translate into technical system design document. Develop detailed test plan and test case documents for Agile and DevOps tools. Work with client and communicate project status on a regular bases. Troubleshoot, identify and resolve incidents. Analyze the existing system and propose value adds and system improvements through automation. Utilize Rational UDeploy, Atlassian Bitbucket, Atlassian Bamboo, SDLC, Agile Methodology. Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or related and two (2) years of experience as an Application Engineer, Application Developer or related. Two (2) years of experience must include utilizing Rational UDeploy, Atlassian Bitbucket, Atlassian Bamboo, SDLC, Agile Methodology. $109160 to $156500 per year.
