Our flagship Ready, Willing & Able (RWA) program provides paid transitional work experience, transitional housing, advanced occupational training, and comprehensive supportive services to individuals experiencing homelessness. The Doe Fund is also one of New York City’s largest nonprofit developers of permanent affordable and supportive housing, with more than 1,900 units in operation or pre-development. The Doe Fund has an annual operating budget of $73 million and a full-time staff of nearly 500, a significant portion of whom are graduates of our programs.
Reporting to the Vice President of Workforce Development, the position of the Workforce Development Support Service Coordinator will assist the Workforce Development, Education, and Training Departments with clerical, scheduling, and tracking of program and participant activities.
This is an in-person position and may require travel between our three facilities in Brooklyn and Harlem. Hours for this position are M – F with possible weekend and evening hours for events.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and distribute class rosters for Computer Essentials and Career Essentials.
- Create and distribute bed memos for trainees for upcoming classes/training opportunities.
- Assist with department events: graduation, alumni picnic, mock interviews, and alumni nights. This involves outreach to trainees and grads, tracking of RSVPs, and coordinating with internal and external partners.
- Manage the submission and payment of awards to grads for maintaining employment and housing.
- Assist the Workforce Development Specialists with monthly outreach to grads to follow up on their employment and housing.
- Monitor the RWA Alumni email account.
The Ideal Candidate:
- High School Education/GED required
- You have great interpersonal/organizational skills
- You are proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat
- You are highly organized, able to set and follow priorities, flexible in adjusting to changing work needs, and capable of working quickly
- You are a self-starter and a team player with excellent follow-through
- You can work in a team environment
