Structural Engineer
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
•Experienced in utilizing engineering design software and tools to perform calculations and creating design documentation.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills, ensuring production of clear, high-quality technical reports, letters, and project documentation.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Execute most tasks independently with minimal supervision.
•Ability to utilize multiple materials to conduct structural calculations and design projects.
•Work closely with the design/drafting team to develop structural drawings.
•Analyze complex structural engineering challenges and implement effective solutions.
•Utilize structural design methods to create or modify project drawings, specifications, and calculations.
•Review and mark up drawings from the design/drafting team or clients
•Collaborating with the Senior Engineer on custom calculations and project details.
•Apply expertise, judgment, and education to resolve complex engineering issues.
•Conduct out-of-town site visits as needed to assess existing conditions and verify compliance with contract documents.
•Actively pursue Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure if not yet obtained.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
•A minimum of 3 years of direct industry experience is required.
•Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) or Engineer Intern (E.I.) certification is required and P.E. preferred.
•Bachelor of Science degree in civil or structural engineering is required.
Senior Structural Engineer
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
•Structural engineering, project management, and client management experience is
preferred.
•Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to produce high quality
technical reports, letters, and other project correspondence.
•Possess a strong desire to lead and manage with limited supervision.
•Experienced in utilizing engineering design software and tools.
•Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to produce high-quality technical reports, letters, and project documentation.
•Familiarity with Python or similar programming languages is advantageous but not mandatory.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Oversee the coordination, review, and completion of structural design calculations, plans, specifications, reports, and correspondence.
•Contributes to enhancement and development of design and calculation templates.
•Ensure the engineering design team upholds quality assurance standards, meets project deadlines, and stays within budget.
•Serve as a lead project engineer, supervising and reviewing the work of other team members.
•Assist in the preparation of fee proposals and contracts.
•Lead and engage in meetings with project stakeholders and clients.
•Support the senior leadership in business development and client outreach.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
•Minimum of 8 years of direct industry experience is required.
•P.E. licensure in civil or structural engineering is required.
•A Bachelor of science degree in civil or structural engineering is required.
