EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR The Town of Oyster Bay Housing Authority is seeking an individual to fill the position of Executive Director. As such this person will oversee the daily operations of the Housing Authority. The Authority has 911 units of federally funded public housing located through the Township of Oyster Bay. The authority administers federal funding and employs a staff of 23 persons. The successful candidate must have proven leadership ability and knowledge of relevant HUD regulations, with experience in negotiating, planning, funding and implementation of public sector programs. Knowledge and/or experience with affordable housing development. The ability to build consensus and project a positive image of the Housing Authority, its mission and its constituents is mandatory. Strong organizational skills, oral communication and writing skills and the ability to make public presentations are required. A bachelors degree in business administration, public administration or related field and experience in public housing administration with PHM Certification required or the ability to obtain same within a year of hire.
