Senior Client Relationship Manager (Technology Banking) (SG Americas Securities, LLC, New York, NY)

Initiate, develop, and continue cultivation of client relationships with a group of companies as the primary or secondary relationship manager. Support Senior Bankers’ marketing efforts for both existing and prospective clients, managing client relationships, and generating new business to execute the group mandate. Coordinate the development and preparation of client presentations. Pitch books, lender/investor presentations, internal committee presentations, and approval memos. Manage and develop junior resources in their work on various financial analyses and modeling, including capital structure analyses, company/industry research and peer benchmarking. Train junior resources on financial modeling using internal audited templates. Assume responsibility of own work produced and work done by juniors under own supervision by ensuring efficiency, reliability and accuracy of materials produced by juniors. Present ideas and proposals to internal and external clients and lead execution of transactions to facilitate deals from start to end including client sourcing, due diligence, negotiations, and structuring, and transaction closing. Update the Transaction Check List and Pipeline on the Origination Platform on an ongoing basis and make sure all the processes have been validated by the deal manager.

Coordinate transaction closing with middle and back offices making sure that the final capital structure is well reflected into internal tools. Help prospect within designated sub-verticals in the tech industry resulting in onboarding of new clients that fit growth mandate and global platform. Provide sector intelligence in coordination with other internal teams of the bank. Support senior staff in developing action plans on sector specific roadmaps. Contribute to the generation of new fees and meeting the annual budget of the team. Onboard new clients and perform the know your customer (“KYC”) checks. Perform sanctions and embargoes checks on prospective new clients. Coordinate and build relationships with primary client teams as well as relevant client personnel across the enterprise and build relationships with product colleagues across the globe. Ensure a seamless and efficient coordination with internal business lines to provide the best solutions and capital structure proposals to clients. Use strong communication skills (written and verbal) to facilitate and coordinate product group idea generation and solutions development across a broad platform of global capabilities. Be responsible for business promotion, including collaboration with senior members of the team and product partners to generate ideas and source transactions to augment existing client relationships. Establish new client relationships and pitch financing solutions across the capital structure by cross selling of corporate and investment banking products. Manage multi-product origination efforts across the range of corporate banking solutions and across the many geographies in which the bank operates. Requires up to 25% US and International travel to clients and industry events. Telecommuting may be permitted up to two days per week. When not telecommuting, must report to 245 Park Ave, New York, NY. Salary: $176,571 – $300,000 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Economics, or related field plus 5 years of professional experience as a Financial Analyst, Investment Analyst, or any occupation/position/job title involving market, strategy, and financial analysis of media, telecommunications, or technology (TMT) companies.

Must also have the following special skills: 5 years of professional experience developing and implementing business strategy through different streams including internal communication and reporting, internal operations and deal execution, information/communication flow development, and market/business intelligence; 5 years of professional experience coordinating transversal functions by liaising between sub-business lines, control, and support functions; 5 years of professional experience preparing cash flow models for financing structures (including amount, term, facilities, and margins); 5 years of professional experience preparing credits applications including identification and in-depth analysis of operational and financial risks related to the transaction; and 4 years of professional experience developing qualitative and quantitative sustainability analysis methodology as well as the associated financial analysis tools to assess the climate-related risks exposure of clients and transactions.
