IT: Two Sigma Investments, LP seeks Softw Engr in NY, NY. Incls but not limited to dvlp & maintain sys's for ingesting, processing & storing news data from various sources, incl news wires, websites & social media platforms. Write high-quality, efficient & scalable code for proprietary research sys's & data analysis tools. Note: Co. "Hybrid" work attendance policy: In-office work attendance req'd at aforementioned office address for collab days based on each team's req'mt; telecommuting/working from home permissible for remainder of same month. Must have Bachelor's or equiv in CS, Math, or rel field + 2 yrs exp in softw eng'g or rel exp. Must have exp w/ dvlpg high-performance, multi-threaded apps using several prog'g languages incl Java or C++. Must have exp w/ algorithms & data structures for efficient problem-solving & softw dvlpmt. Must have demonstrated knowl of softw eng'g incl version control, testing, debugging & code optimization & familiarity w/ GIT & Jenkins. Must have exp w/ distributed computing concepts & frameworks for handling lrg-scale data processing. Must have exp w/ big data technologies like Apache Hadoop or Apache Spark for handling & processing lrg datasets. Must have demonstrated knowl of numerical prog'g skills utilizing technologies such as Pandas & NumPy. Must have exp w/ cloud platforms (Azure & GCP). Must have exp w/ dbases & data storage sys's for handling & retrieving lrg datasets. Must have exp w/ machine learning techniques & libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, HuggingFace & Scikit-Learn). Must have demonstrated knowl of math & stat concepts, particularly as they apply to quantitative fin'c. Must have exp w/ applying quantitative methods to solve fin'l & math problems & expertise in data analysis incl estimation methods, time series analysis & machine learning techniques. Must have exp w/ front-end technologies & designing & dvlpg user interfaces using HTML, CSS & JavaScript. Must have exp w/ machine learning & NLP techniques for tasks such as text classification, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, & machine translation. Must have exp w/ working collab in team-oriented environ. Must pass co.'s req'd skills assessment. Employer will accept any amount of exp w/ req'd skills. Rate of pay: $165,000-$325,000/yr (may also be elig for other forms of compensation & bnfts).
