Location: Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, and Westchester County Shift: Morning, Afternoon, and Overnight Pay rate: $16.00/hr - $18.00/hr (weekly payment)
Job Description • Provide habilitation services to each client as prescribed in that client's service plans (CFA, Individual Service plan, Habilitation plan) • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as preparing food, personal hygiene, and cleaning • Assist in maintaining a clean and safe living environment • Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights, etc. in various settings • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications • High School Diploma or GED required • 1-year previous experience providing one on one direct care required with the developmentally disabled population • Ability to stay alert and always awake; use a computer for data entry • Must obtain BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification, TB Testing, and OPWDD Orientation before starting work • Must be willing to assist with tasks that require lifting and standing for long periods of time

A 46-year-old male in the Baldwinsville area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist him with, communicating to the best of his ability, being active in his community, and help him with choosing activities to do based on his interest. He spends most of his time playing on the computer but also enjoys watching TV, going to the library, stores, and restaurants. 
 
The ideal candidate is creative and engaging, active and patient, and willing to travel to different locations. The ideal candidate should be very active and willing to go to the library.
 
Hours and days of work: Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, up to 8 hours a week.
 
Starting pay: Starting pay is $18.00 an hour.
 
Location: Baldwinsville, NY
 
Qualifications:
