Job Title: Shift Production Supervisor

Reports To: Production Manager

Scope of Supervision: Responsible for employee training, work assignment, complaint resolution, and overseeing a team of variable size during the shift.

Position Summary:

The Shift Production Supervisor oversees all production-related activities for Bristol ID's products, executing the following core responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Evaluate daily schedules and communicate material and labor shortages, as well as machine capacity constraints, to Assistant Production Manager/Production Manager.

- Allocate daily tasks in alignment with employee skills, experience, and in consultation with the Production Manager.

- Assess departmental performance on a weekly basis.

- Monitor individual performance metrics within the team.

- Onboard and train new Team Leaders.

- Facilitate new employee orientation and training.

- Participate in the company's safety team and ensure safety training for all shift personnel.

- Serve as the main point of contact for all production-related activities.

- Operate essential equipment as necessary.

- Maintain facility cleanliness, both interior and exterior.

- Undertake duties as directed by management.

- Suggest process improvements.

- Operate machines only when it doesn't conflict with supervisory responsibilities.


Requirements:

Qualifications:

- Familiarity with the full range of product lines.

- Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask.

- 3-5 years of management/leadership experience

- Excellent interpersonal and communication capabilities.

- Physical aptitude for prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and lifting.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Education Requirements:

- Minimum of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent education is required. Some college preferred.

Working Environment:

- Routine walking on level surfaces.

- Required reaching and lifting activities.

- Necessary use of personal protective equipment in manufacturing areas.

- Typical manufacturing environment conditions including room temperature and lighting.

- Flexible workstations subject to production demands.

- Exposure to elements like noise, dust, and odors inherent to a manufacturing setting.
