We are seeking a dynamic Education Specialist to develop and deliver high-quality financial education to 401(k) plan participants. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting one-on-one and group educational sessions, creating engaging seminars and webinars, and ensuring participants have the resources they need to maximize their retirement benefits. This role requires travel to support plan participants across various locations.
- Develop and present seminars and webinars on financial topics to engage and educate plan participants effectively.
- Create educational materials, including guides, presentations, and online content, to enhance financial literacy among participants.
- Deliver group educational sessions to employees of client companies, covering topics such as retirement savings, financial wellness, and investment fundamentals.
- Conduct one-on-one education sessions with plan participants to explain 401(k) plan options, investment strategies, and retirement planning principles.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to provide accurate and relevant education.
- Collaborate with client relationship managers and advisors to tailor educational programs to the specific needs of client organizations.
- Support enrollment meetings, benefit fairs, and on-site educational events as needed.
- Maintain records of participant engagement and feedback to improve educational programs.
- Travel as required to support various client plans and participant needs.
- Oversee the use and the development of Venrollment for retirement plan clients, including onboarding, training and updating.
- Work with clients that have an investment committee to provide education and training to those participants.
- Liaison between plan administrators’ education and wellness offerings to leverage for clients.
- Look for and create cross-sell opportunities.
- Build and maintain a favorable and professional work relationship with other staff members.
- Adhere to established employee manual policies and guidelines.
- Adhere to workflow procedures and follow guidelines to reduce the risk of E&O claims.
- Promptly report all E&O claims and potential E&O claims.
- Communicate with Supervisor/Manager any issues to ensure excellent customer service.
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff, and agency information.
- Maintain professional accreditation necessary to meet agency standards.
- Participate in continuing education programs when available.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in business, finance, accounting or related field or equivalent experience required.
- 3+ years of experience in financial education, retirement planning, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of 401(k) plans, retirement savings strategies, and investment basics.
- Valid driver license and acceptable driving record required.
- Certifications such as CFPA®, CPFA, AIFA®, or CRPSA® are a plus but not required.
- Exceptional presentation and communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts.
- Experience developing and delivering educational content in both in-person and virtual settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing needs.
- Willingness to travel as required to support plan participants.
- Experience supporting advisors, brokers, and third-party vendors preferred.
- Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow of self as an effective team member to meet deadlines and make effective decisions under pressure.
- Demonstrated written/oral communication, presentation, and organization skills.
- Exhibited commitment to delivering a high-level of client service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Established interpersonal skills such as diplomacy, judgment, decision making, discretion, etc.
- Exhibits an analytical approach to solving complex challenges while keeping both the client and the company's needs forefront.
- Self-motivated, takes initiative, seeks creative solutions, and actively engages in all work responsibilities.

Salary is $55,000-$70,000 annually based on experience.
The specific salary offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location.
