Job Details


  • 10+ years of experience in the Architecture/Engineering field specializing in Electrical Engineering design.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering.
  • NYS PE Licensure preferred; EIT certification with active participation in a licensure development program is required.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for Electrical Engineering design is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of the International Building Code is required.
  • Project Management and/or Discipline/Team Management experience is preferred.
  • Applicants may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for potential access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is required.


Responsibilities:

  • Design complete electrical systems for buildings, including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
  • Assess existing project conditions and oversee field measurements.
  • Consult with clients to define project objectives and available resources.
  • Perform code analysis to ensure compliance with project designs.
  • Develop projects in alignment with engineering scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Create Revit models using existing documentation, plans, and surveys while coordinating with project team members.
  • Prepare engineering contract documents and calculations using CAD and electrical design software.
  • Select appropriate materials, equipment, and system components.
  • Conduct technical and coordination reviews of project documents.
  • Develop project specifications and related documentation.
  • Perform material quantity take-offs and prepare project cost estimates.
  • Stay up to date with current electrical codes and industry standards.
  • Review construction-phase submittals.
  • Conduct periodic on-site inspections during construction to ensure compliance with construction documents.
