Summary

Little Eagles Nest Daycare is currently looking for an Early Childhood Education Teacher to care for our lovely young children. We are currently looking to fulfill a position in Ardsley and soon will have openings at our upcoming new location in Dobbs Ferry. Candidate must be available to work Monday-Friday. The successful candidate must be experienced in daycare settings, reliable, punctual, professional, work well with others, well spoken, easy going, quick learning, and truly have a love and passion for working with young children. Candidate needs to have experience working with young children.

Students currently completing Early Childhood Education coursework are welcome to apply.

Duties

Some of the responsibilities you will have include, but are not limited to the following:

• Set up developmentally appropriate classroom activities in accordance with the classroom lesson plans/curriculum already in place;
• Perform developmental assessment for each child and hold parent/teacher conferences
• Be independent and proactive on scheduling activities and schedules
• Coordinating meal and snack preparation with assistant;
• Assist with diaper/potty;
• Maintaining a clean and hazard free environment;
• Maintaining daily open communication with parents, inputting child data into a child management application regularly and accurately;

Requirements

Position Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age;
• Fluent in English;
• Must have a minimum of 2 years experience working with multiple young children, preferably in a licensed child care facility;
• Candidate must have a High School Diploma at a minimum. Candidates that completed an Undergraduate Degree in an Early Childhood Education or related field of study is preferred, particularly with a CDA;
• Must have the desire to teach and educate young children and the ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and track progress;
• Must LOVE to work with young children and be passionate about Early Childhood Education.
