Production Manager
FLSA: Non Exempt
Reports To: Assistant Director of Industrial Operations
Physical Requirements: Normal Office Environment
Hours of Work: Monday-Friday (40 hours per week).
Pay Range: The pay range is $25.16 to $35.10
Job Summary:
Directly supervise the production planning and day to day processing and fulfillment operations within manufacturing (Liberty Enterprises). Implements and ensures purchasing, receiving, processing, handling, and shipping procedures are followed. Ensures inventory and quality control procedures consistently followed. Work in consult with department leadership to action on fulfillment goals and demands. Ensures compliance to regulatory requirements. Directly supervises production personnel.
Job Qualifications:
- Associates degree with 2 years supervisory experience in related industry or high school diploma and 4 years supervisory experience in related industry.
- Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Products.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English Language
- Valid NYS Driver's License that meets agency standards and reliable transportation.
Major Responsibilities:
- Directly supervise the production planning and day to day processing and fulfillment operations of Liberty Enterprises at 43 Liberty Drive and 49 Venner Drive (LIC) locations.
- Supervise the production planner, lead supervisors, machine operators and direct laborers. Responsible for personnel management of direct reports.
- Collaborate with management team, sales and marketing employees to implement and achieve the department's annual budget and strategic objectives.
- Ensure production employees follow standard operating procedures, inventory controls, total job analysis' and quality assurance procedures.
- Ensure production employees work in compliance with the standards and requirements of various Federal and State regulating or governing entities such as OSHA, FDA, DOL, Source America and NYSID.
- Implement and monitor the effectiveness of projects and activities within the manufacturing department and consult with department leadership routinely
- Maintain a positive working relationship with raw materials vendors.
- Build employee engagement through positive working relationship.
