Our client has an exciting direct hire opportunity for a Quality Control (QC) Inspector to join their team. In this role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring the highest quality standards are met by inspecting materials, components, and final products for compliance with industry regulations, customer specifications, and their company's rigorous quality requirements. - Perform Visual Testing (VT) and/or Penetrant Testing (PT) in accordance with Level I certification requirements.
- Conduct Non-Destructive Examinations (NDE) on materials and welds to detect flaws or deviations from specifications.
- Document inspection results clearly and accurately using standardized reporting formats.
- Assist in maintaining calibration and certification records of inspection tools and equipment.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Adhere to safety regulations and quality standards in all inspection processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support internal and external audits.
Skills & ExperienceQualifications That Will Help You Thrive
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or associate degree in a related field is a plus.
- Certification in NDE, with Level I certification in VT and/or PT.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ASNT, AWS, or ASTM.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and inspection techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Additional NDE method certifications (e.g., MT, UT, RT) are a plus.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
