ATL is seeking Geotechnical Driller candidates. This position provides an opportunity for individuals to work in a diverse marketplace and offers a challenging and rewarding career. Experienced and entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
Geotechnical Driller Qualifications:
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
- Experience operating drill rigs or heavy equipment
- Mechanical aptitude and enjoy working with machinery
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic math skills
- Willing to travel throughout New York State
- A valid New York State CDL driver’s license or the ability to obtain within 3 months
- A positive attitude, with ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Enjoy working outdoors in a hands-on environment
Geotechnical Driller Responsibilities:
- Mobilization of drilling equipment and supplies to various locations throughout New York State
- Safely operate and maintain drill rigs and associated equipment to execute geotechnical and environmental investigation programs in accordance with industry standards and project specific scopes of work
- Maintain safe work sites conforming to OSHA and project specified standards
- Prepare boring, test pit, and monitor well construction logs
- Install geotechnical instrumentation
- Effectively communicate with Engineers, Geologists, Scientists, Project Managers, and owner’s representatives
