Strategy Consultant, IBM Corporation, Armonk, New York and various unanticipated client sites throughout the US (Up to 100% telecommuting permitted): Provide quantitative analysis and hypothesis-driven research for the company's research's initiatives. Carry out data gathering and market research to study competitors and how the company's research can differentiate its offerings to win in the market. Develop fact-based client, market, and competitor insights based on research conducted across a variety of sources. Analyze market for the company's research's products such as servers, storage, cloud and propose enhancements to the company research's product/service portfolio. Engage with research leaders to evaluate root causes, test hypotheses, and achieve business outcomes. Establish relationships with internal client teams and interface with stakeholders across business units to gather information, gain diverse perspectives, and deepen subject matter expertise. Synthesize insights and recommendations into client presentations to clearly communicate findings to research/business unit leaders. Inform the company's research senior executive decisions with project engagements to architect unit-wide strategic direction. Enable acceleration of the company's entry into markets and revenue generation with new innovative technologies from research. Analyze critical emerging areas to identify key technologies, develop and articulate the associated use cases and business value, and drive the firm's brand name. Advise internal technology startups from a market research and competitive intelligence perspective. Devise strategies to increase revenue, cut costs, and promote growth for the company's research. Oversee the implementation of updated business strategies. Review and analyze the efficacy of revised business strategies. Monitor the long-term effects of business changes. Analyze existing company's research processes and workflows, implement their knowledge of IT to improve company research's digital strategy and take their findings and turn them into implementable action plans to improve their client's business. Utilize: Database Management, Microsoft Excel Modelling, Power BI, Tableau, SQL. Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related and two (2) years of experience as a Business Analyst or related.
