ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Job Description Mission of NCS Our mission is to provide the children of NCS with educational opportunities through a rigorous, comprehensive K-8 program that cultivates the intellectual, social and emotional development of each child. Our students, who include children with autism spectrum disorders, will become independent learners and critical thinkers, will acquire the academic skills that they need to succeed in college preparatory high schools and will exhibit the social and emotional skills that will allow them to reach their full potential. The Opportunity NCS seeks an enthusiastic, highly organized, knowledgeable, and consistent educator who has experience in K-8 urban education. We are looking for someone with prior leadership experience and someone who is excited by the challenge of working for a growing organization. This role is based out of our Harlem campus and reports to the K-5 ES Principal in 2023-2024. The Elementary School Director will be responsible for the student achievement outcomes of all students in their assigned grades. Further, they will assist in fostering a strong Elementary school leadership team, ensure a positive school culture, and build a school-wide community with all stakeholders, including families.
